Real vs. artificial debate aside, visiting Christmas tree farms across the South Central Pennsylvania area can be a fun holiday tradition for the entire family. But whether you’re going for a family day trip, or are looking for this year’s Christmas tree, it can be hard to figure out where to go! Cumberland County

  • Gruver’s Tree Farm: Opening day for the tree farm is on November 25th at 9:00am, and they have tons of options! You can cut your own Christmas tree, or get a pre-cut tree. They also offer accessories, like tree bags and stands, as well as wreaths and other decorations. They also offer photography sessions, if you’re looking for an adorably festive photo to send out on those holiday cards!
  • Ocker’s Christmas Tree Farm: Opening weekend is on November 25th, but families are welcome to tag their tree NOW!
  • Sober’s Christmas Trees: The farm opens on November 29th and runs through Christmas Eve. Trees as tall as 15 feet are available, and they also offer no-contact tree delivery! You can also get holiday pictures taken there, with settings including barns, a corn crib, Christmas trees, a Christmas tree lot, and more.
  • Dandi Farm Trees: Opening on Black Friday each year, they offer complimentary hot chocolate to start your holiday adventure. You can cut your own tree down, or pick out a fresh-cut, pre-drilled tree, as well as live burlap-wrapped trees, table-top trees, and freshly-made wreaths, swags, and centerpieces. They also have a holiday shop filled with festive items to browse.

Dauphin County

  • Blue Mountain Farm and Fiber Mill: They will be opening on November 19th, with choose-and-cut trees available. They also offer wreath-making classes, and will have kettle cooked chicken corn soup and warm apple cider available on Black Friday.

Lancaster County

  • Miller’s Christmas Tree Farm: Tagging begins on October 29th; after that, they’re open Nov. 19th and 20th, on Thanksgiving and Black Friday, and from November 25th through December 24th. You can cut your own tree or choose a pre-cut one, and they offer complimentary candy canes, hot chocolate, and coloring books for that extra touch of holiday magic.
  • Elizabeth Farms: In addition to choosing between pre-cut and cut-your-own trees, they have holiday fun covered! At their gift shop, you can get complimentary hot chocolate, as well as shop for ornaments, Christmas decor, wreaths, fresh greens, and swag. They also have festive holiday drinks for sale, for the grown-ups, as well as food truck, fun Christmas activities, and visits from Santa!
  • Heritage Tree Farm: Fresh-cut trees are available at any time, while with an appointment, you can opt for choose-and-cut trees as well. They also have a Christmas shop, and wreath decorating workshops, complete with Christmas treats to enjoy!
  • Hunt’s Christmas Trees: Families, including four-legged members, are welcome at this farm where you can choose your own tree and either cut it yourself, or have them cut it for you. They also have fun holiday events, including going on hayrides and roasting s’mores. If you’re looking for a cute picture for your holiday cards, they have backdrops set up around the farm as well. They also have a Christmas shop with gingerbread cottages, decorations, ornaments, trains, nativity sets, and more!
  • Frog Hollow Evergreens: At this farm, all choose-and-cut trees are the same price, regardless of size or variety! They will also drill your tree while you’re there so it’s ready for a tree stand.
  • Abe’s Tree Farm: Opening on Black Friday, they offer choose-and-cut trees, as well as wreaths.
  • Martin Manor Farm: Though tagging began last month, trees don’t start being cut until November 19th. They also have a cottage store with tons of items, like homemade soaps, candles, dish clothes, and more, so you can do some holiday gift shopping while you get your tree!
  • Country Barn Market: This farm comes with tons of holiday fun! To get your tree, you ride a real train to their Christmas tree fields, where you can cut your own tree. They also have tons of seasonal fun, like Breakfast with Santa, giant slides, scavenger hunts, fire pits, and more!

Lebanon County

  • Wagner Christmas Tree Farm: A full-service tree farm, you can cut your own tree, or choose from one of their pre-cut trees. They also offer tree stands, crafts, wreaths, swags, roping and greens. Make sure to bring your camera, because there are plenty of great photo ops available, like on their antique tractor or on Santa’s sleigh!
  • Stracks Tree Farm: You can choose from one of seven varieties of Christmas trees for a choose-and-cut tree, or head inside the barn to pick one of their pre-cut trees. They also offer custom wreaths, swags, roping and garland, tree stands, and Christmas crafts.
  • Hess Tree Farm: This farm offers choose-and-cut trees, as well as balled and burlap trees. They also not only sell fresh wreaths, but offer wreath decorating classes through November and December.

York County

  • McCurdy’s Farm: There are nearly 100 acres of trees to choose from, with a variety of types and sizes. You can cut your own tree, or get a fresh cut tree.   • Shenck’s Christmas Tree Farm: Operating for 33 years, they offer primarily choose-and-cute Christmas trees, although there are also freshly-cut trees available. Additionally, they have wreaths and greens available for decoration, as well as tree stands and toppers and other holiday decor.
  • Haring Tree Farms: Family owned and operated since 1979, they open on November 25th for choose-and-cut or pre-cut trees. You can also get balled trees and wreaths to decorate the rest of your home for the holidays, too!
