What to Expect
This children’s class is a special event featuring a visit from live baby kangaroos from Aldinger Farms. Class will feature a themed read-aloud, craft, and stationed movement activities. We will also have the opportunity to observe a baby kangaroo close-up as it hops around the room and each family will be able to hold, pet, and take pictures with the kangaroos. Parents are required to stay and are encouraged to play and learn right alongside their mini explorer.

Age Range
This event is open to explorers of all ages. The story and craft is most appropriate for children ages 2-10, but all ages can enjoy kangaroo snuggles! We believe in the benefits of mixed age play. MEC believes in inclusivity and welcomes everyone. Children under age 2 are free with a paid older sibling. Please also list children under age 2 in the “name & age” section at checkout. There is no charge for accompanying adults. Max of 2 adults per family, please.

What to Bring
-weather appropriate, comfy play clothes in layers
-water bottle
-blanket, tarp, or chair to sit on (if desired)

Weather permitting, this class will use a combo of indoor and outdoor spaces.
