On this week’s episode of Fireflies and Whoopie Pie, the founder of the Neurodiverse Network talks about raising neurodivergent children, as well as what led her to create the local non-profit, which gives support to local neurodiverse families, and what their goals for the future are.
While much progress has been made in recognizing neurodiversity, there is still incredibly far to go. Children, especially in the school system and in overall society, are treated largely as one-size-fits-all, and supports to enable neurodivergent children and adults to participate fully in their communities are lacking. The Neurodiverse Network is working to fill that void and make a difference.
