What to Expect
We will be reading the story “Creep, Leap, Crunch! A Food Chain Story” and making a related food chain project. We will also be hiking to the creek for some water play and to observe food chains in our outdoor classroom. Explorers should dress for mud and water play. Parents are required to stay and are encouraged to play and learn right alongside their mini explorer.

Age Range
Suggested age range for this event is 2-10. This age range is only a suggestion. We believe in the benefits of mixed age play. MEC believes in inclusivity and welcomes everyone. Children under age 2 are free with a paid older sibling. Please also list children under age 2 in the “name & age” section at checkout.

What to Bring
-weather appropriate, comfy play clothes (maybe even a spare set?) in layers. You will want to have your explorer wear water/mud gear such as boots or water shoes and a swim or rain suit
-water bottle
-blanket, tarp, or chair to sit on

This event must be held outdoors. If the weather does not cooperate, we will either reschedule or cancel, based on the camp’s availability. In the case of a schedule change, notice will be sent out via email at least 2 hours prior.
