Founder’s Day Open House

Please join us on August 3rd as we celebrate the first meeting of the Historical Society of Berks County in August of 1869. Admission is FREE for everyone.
Come explore the history of Berks County in our three-story museum and research library. Tour guides will be stationed throughout the facilities to give you an in-depth look into the unique local history of the area.
Come see our future plans for our museum revitalization project as we update and expand exhibits to protect our historical collections and improve visitor services. We will be enhancing and upgrading our campus to provide new exhibits that are appealing to the multifaceted communities of Berks County. We hope to increase our capacity to collect and preserve Berks Couty treasures for future generations and provide greater care for our artifacts.
Kids scavenger hunt and trivia wheel for the adults! FREE popcorn. Big Dawg’z Cook’in will be on-site with food for purchase. If you’re a first-timer or a regular visitor, we invite you to join us for a day filled with fun & learning!
