The Manheim Township Recreation and Park Planning Department is hosting their 3rd Annual Community Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 1st. The event is open to the public between 1 pm and 3 pm specifically on the turf fields of the Manheim Township Athletic Complex (2883 Weaver Road, Lancaster, PA).
The event is family friendly, and free for all to attend.
The egg hunt will officially begin at 1:30 pm. To make the egg hunt fair for each child, separate times will be designated for children in each age group. 2 and under and age 3/4 will go first in 2 different identified hunting areas. Ages 5/6 and 7/8 will follow.
“Last year we had a HUGE turn-out for our Community Egg Hunt, and we hope this year will be even better! We have more eggs, more prizes, and more popcorn,” said Manheim Township Recreation Director, Matt Stopa. “To ensure there are no muddy feet, we are holding the egg hunts on the artificial turf at Manheim Township Athletic Complex. Please help us ring in spring with our 3rd annual Egg Hunt!”
In addition to photo opportunities with the holiday bunny, there will be crafts, egg-themed games, free popcorn, DJ entertainment, two bubble machines dispersing bubbles during the hunt, and two face painters.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own basket.
