The long, cold winter is finally gone, and spring is officially here! That means it’s time to get back outside and enjoy all the amazing outdoor activities the South Central PA area has to offer. There is so much fun to be had this (and every!) spring that is can seem a bit overwhelming!
That’s were our Spring Bucket List comes in handy! Whenever kids start whining about being bored, or you’re looking for something fun to do over the weekend, you’ll have a great list of ideas ready and waiting.

- Check out an Amish mud sale.
- Pick your own strawberries at Cherry Hill Orchards.
- Go on a tour of covered bridges in Lancaster.
- Visit Amish country and take a buggy ride.
- Go to HersheyPark for one of their spring weekends.
- Take in the incredible display of color as flowers bloom at Hershey Gardens.
- Hike or bike on the Hershey-Harrisburg Adventure Trail.
- Go see a Harrisburg Senators or Lancaster Barnstormers game.
- Play Water Golf on City Island.
- Take a ride on the Pride of the Susquehanna riverboat.
- Explore the beaten path outdoors with Uncharted Lancaster.
- Soar over York with a hot air balloon ride.
- Stroll through Longwood Gardens and smell the flowers.
- Stop by Columbia Market House for some fresh produce and flowers — and eat lunch while you’re there.
- Go to Kitchen Kettle Village for their annual Rhubarb Festival.
- Take a ride on the Northern Central Railway.
- Check out the Spring Bloom Pop-Up Market or Spring Story Time at Flinchbaugh’s Orchard.
- Go on a narrated boat tour with Union Canal Days.
- Visit Batz Farm and snuggle baby goats.
- Take your kids fishing at Stoevers Dam Park.
- Go to SpringFest at Wyndridge Farm.
- Check out the annual alpaca shearing at Shear Heaven Farm.
- Celebrate Earth Day with the New Cumberland Earth and Arts Festival.
- Visit the PA Greek Fest in Camp Hill.
- Go to Camp Hill for the Plein Air Art Walk in May.
- Fly a kite at Lingle Park during their annual Kite Festival.
