Lebanon County is Our New Home Sweet Home

Moving to Lebanon County last month has proven to be quite the adventure! My husband, son, and I are settling into our new home and routines, and from what I’ve found thus far, the people are welcoming, the farms (and their aromas!) are plentiful, and there are many family-friendly opportunities nearby. I’ve enjoyed a hayride at Risser-Marvel Farm Market with my son, thrifting for clothes at Family Consignment Shop, drinking a beer with my husband at Mount Gretna Craft Brewery, and finding antiques at Black Swan Antiquities.

We’re still unpacking boxes a month into our move, and Lebanon County is starting to feel like home. We’ve met a few neighbors and completed some small home improvement projects already, like adding kitchen shelving, but we still have a lengthy list of ideas for bigger projects around the house that we can’t wait to tackle, like updating our basement. It comes as no surprise, then, that we’ve become frequent visitors of Wilhelm’s Hardware to help us along the way… and if you’ve never been, it is just the sweetest store I’ve ever seen. It’s like something off of a Hallmark movie set.

In our short time living here, my son and I have visited many of the area’s playgrounds, and I’m happy to report that he has loved all of them! I’m so pleased to have playgrounds so close such as Cocoa Castle, Palmyra Playtown, and the Community Playground at Londonderry Village; it really can’t get any more convenient. We’re looking forward to exploring many more playgrounds together.

As a stay-at-home-mom, freelance event planner, and military wife, I’m open to all experiences this new-to-me area has to offer, and I’m excited to meet mom friends at the playground, take some day trips to visit Lancaster and Gettysburg, find more antique and thrift shops, and overall, make lasting memories with my family here. We’re so excited to call Palmyra, and Lebanon County, home!
